Jung Woo Sung becomes the first Asian model for Guinness Beer


Seoul, Korea – Actor Jung Woo Sung has been chosen as a model to appear in commercials for the international beer brand Guinness.

This is the first time that Guinness has selected a model to specifically target Korea.

Jung Woo Sung will start promoting Guinness Beer online and offline starting from end of this month and will also appear in its television commercials.

Diageo Korea¡¯s marketing director, Mark Edwards, said, ¡°We chose Jung Woo Sung to promote our product because he has a trendy, urban appeal that fits very well with the premium image of Guinness Beer.¡±

To celebrate the new promotion, Diageo Korea has started an event entitled ¡°Capture Jung Woo Sung! But you only have 119.5 seconds.¡± Winners will actually get to meet and spend time with Jung Woo Sung. The event started on the 21st on the Guinness Beer website (www.guinness.com).
