Seoul, Korea – On August 1, production stills from the TV series Iris’s spinoff, Athena: Goddess of War, were unveiled. The pictures, showing the four lead characters, played by Jung Woo Sung, Cha Seung Won, Soo Ae, and Lee Ji Ah, on location in Italy for an action-packed scene, have now been released for viewing.

The thrilling action depicted in the stills contrasts with the backdrop of northern Italy’s beautiful cities that serve as their backdrop.

In one shot, Jung looks like he stepped out of a 007 film, wielding a a Beretta in each hand during a car-chase. Soo Ae is seen wearing black from head to toe in a tight outfit that shows off her well balanced fighter’s figure.

Cha returns to dominate each scene with his virile performance, charismatic as always. Lee Jee Ah’s character borders on the precarious, but also maintains enough stability in her action scenes.

After completing the scenes in Italy, the crew will move to Japan to continue shooting. Athena will air this November on SBS.
