[±Û·Î¹ú] The scene of SMTown Live World Tour in Paris plans to air in July via the MBC network
The MBC television network announced that they would air the scene of the concert held in Paris by SM Entertainment's singers.
Under the title, Korean Waver–expanding from Asia widely to include the whole world(working title), this was designed as part of the MBC's special project to mark the television channel's golden jubilee. The production team conducted an in-depth coverage of the scenes in and out of the concert held for two days on June 11 and 12 at Le Zenith de Paris.
As the first pay concert of Korean singers held in Europe, SMTown Live World Tour in Paris garnered much attention. The performance actually attracted over 7,000 local fans to fill the large concert hall, proving the huge global popularity of Korean pop.
The 1,400 tickets of the concert were all sold out on the Internet just in ten minutes, while more than 1,500 fans swarmed about at the airport to see Korean singers arriving there. It's sure to be recorded in history that the local fans in Europe gathered in front of Louvre Museum to call for additional K-pop concerts to hold in Paris and other European cities, which has become the talk of the whole world since the links to the related UCC were posted on YouTube.
The SM Town's concert is considered one of the evidences to prove that the Korean Wave expanded from Asia to include Europe, leading to a series of news headlines by such noted European presses as Le Monde and Le Figaro.
The concert scene held in Paris will air at 12:10 p.m. on June 2.
