Seoul, Korea – On August 3, the production company Tae Won Entertainment announced that actors Kim Seung Woo and Kim So Yeon will be returning in the IRIS spinoff, Athena: Goddess of War, reprising their characters from IRIS. Kim Seung Woo will play Park Chul Young, a core North Korean undercover agent, and Kim So Yeon will play Kim Sun Hwa, a top secret agent.

There is much anticipation of what differences, if any, and what connections we may see between their portrayal of these characters in IRIS and in Athena. Currently, Athena stars Jung Woo Sung, Cha Seung Won, Soo Ae, Lee Ji Ah, and others are filming on location overseas.

Tae Won Entertainment said that the Athena team recently finished filming in Italy and will be filming other parts of the story in six different countries. The drama is scheduled to be broadcast on SBS in November.
