Seoul, Korea – Actor Bae Yong Joon (38) and “idol” group SS501’s Kim Hyun Joong (24) will be part of Japan DATV’s charity event Message! To Asia, the first among several in the Miso Project series to help Asian children. The event will be held at the Tokyo Dome this coming December 14.

On August 16, Key East, the agency which manages both Bae and Kim, explained, “All proceedings from the event will be contributed under the name of the Miso Project. We have not received specific details of the program, but we are assured that active roles will be played by both Bae and Kim.”

The Miso Project is a social contribution project aimed at helping disadvantaged children in Cambodia, the Philippines, and other nations in Asia via the non-profit organization Kokkyo naki Kodomotachi (KnK), set up by Japan’s Digital Adventure TV (DATV). Other notable celebrity attendees will include the Japanese artist Gackt and Taiwanese actress Vanness Wu.
