Jae Bum will not be on Secret Garden — Replaced by Hyun Bin?

Seoul, Korea – Singer and ex-member of 2PM Jae Bum, who was the number one candidate for SBS¡¯s Secret Garden, set to air on weekends, will not be appearing on the series afterall, giving the production staff quite a headache.

Secret Garden is directed by Shin Woo Cheol and written by Kim Eun Sook, the duo who brought us the viewing pleasure of Lovers in Paris and On Air. This new collaborative work has an impressive all-star cast that includes Jang Hyeok, Ha Ji Won, and Yoon Sang Hyeon.

Jae Bum was going to join the cast, but now it seems that will never happen. Rumor mills have already gone so far as to ponder if Ha and Jang, both of whom are under the same management as Jae Bum, will also be leaving the show.

The same mill has also churned out Hyun Bin as a possible replacement for Jae Bum.

The production staff have so far refrained from making any official statements other than ¡°Nothing is sure . . . yet.¡± Hyun Bin¡¯s management did, however, say that they have received the plot synopsis from the production team and are currently considering his options.

Secret Garden is a fantasy-melodrama, a story involving a stunt woman, a mall owner, a hallyu star, and a diverse mix of young people who become entangled in a complicated story of love. The show is set to air this November, in the time slot of SBS¡¯s current weekend series Life is Wonderful.
