Opening in September: 2010 Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation Invitational Exhibition — Posthumous Exhibit of Works by 13 Artisans
Seoul, Korea – The 2010 Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation Invitaional Exhibition – Posthumous Exhibit of Works by 13 Artisans will be held from the 9th of September until the 30th at the Center for Training in Important Intangible Cultural Properties in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
This exhibit will showcase works by deceased Human Cultural Assets.
Not only their works but personal pictures and tools used by Human Cultural Asset No. 22, pottery maker Lee Nae Won; Human Cultural Asset No. 22, knot maker Choi Eun Soon; Human Cultural Asset No. 27, hemp maker Kim Jeom Soon; Human Cultural Asset No. 47, bow-and-arrow maker Park Sang Jun; Human Cultural Asset No. 48, wood painter Lee Chi Ho; Human Cultural Asset No. 55, furniture maker Chun Sang Won; Human Cultural Asset No. 74, architect Ko Taek Young; Human Cultural Asset No. 77, bowl maker Kim Geun Soo; Human Cultural Asset No. 87, silk maker Cho Ok Ee; Human Cultural Asset No. 88, reed maker Koo Jin Gap; Human Cultural Asset No. 89, seamstress Chung Jung Wan; and Human Cultural Asset No. 99, table maker Lee In Sae.
There is also a free workshop on knot making and fan making.
