Seoul, Korea – Actors Lee Sun Kyoon and actress Choi Kang Hee are together again to shoot a movie this time, Stingy Romance, directed by Kim Jung Hoon following their last drama My Sweet City. Their abrupt kissing scene in the rain, filmed on the 8th, is drawing much attention.

Although the shooting went on pass midnight, the Olympic Park was said to have heated up since the main characters of the movie ‘Jung Bae’ (played by Lee Sun Kyoon) and ‘Darim’ (by Choi Kang Hee), were filming their first kissing scene.


In the scene Jung Bae and Darim, who have worked on an adult animation together, starts to have feelings for one another and ends up revealing their feelings to each other. As the two starts quarreling in the rain, Jung Bae chases Darim and abruptly kisses her, to everybody’s surprise.

Six rainfall simulators were utilized to shoot the scene; not only that, the filmmakers also had to install four streetlights to create the perfect environment for the shooting.


Even in the midst of shooting in the rain, the two actors did not show any signs of fatigue. When the staff members teasingly asked how it feels like to kiss in the rain, they both made a witty remark saying, “It isn’t always so great because so much water enters through our nose and mouth.”

Stingy Romance is expected to portray a story of an adult cartoonist Jung Bae and a sex columnist Darim, the reality they face as well as the romance they fall into. The movie which has started its filming last July is scheduled to have its first run later this year.
