Can Fugitive continue success of national drama Kim Tak Gu?

An ensemble cast of Rain, Lee Na Young and Lee Jeong Jin¡¦first episode to air on the 29th

Starring an ensemble cast of Jeong Ji Hoon, Lee Na Young, Lee Jeong Jin, Yoon Jin Seo, and Daniel Henney, KBS 2TV¡¯s new Wed/Thu drama The Fugitive is an action packed story about a supernatural amount of money which disappeared during the Korean War being re-discovered 60 years later in 2010.

Featuring the tandem of writer Chun Sung Il and director Kwak Jeong Hwan, who worked together earlier this year in the popular drama Chuno, The Fugitive has been receiving plenty of attention from future viewers for its exciting action scenes which take place in major Asian locations like Seoul, Busan, Tokyo, Osaka, Yokohama, Shanghai, Macao, and Hong King

On the 27th, during the press conference for KBS 2TV¡¯s new Wed/Thu drama The Fugitive at the Lotte Hotel in Sogondong, Seoul, director Kwak Jeoong Hwan remarked ¡°This is a very different project from Chuno. Viewers will experience a new kind of fun that they have never known of.¡±

He continued by saying ¡°When I first saw the script for The Fugitive, I felt as though it was not my project because it was a totally new challenge. I was very ambitious for this project because it had the possibility to portray various forms¡±, adding that ¡°I really want to thank the actors for their patience and willingness with the busy schedule and foreign location filming.¡±

The Fugitive will showcase numerous chase scenes, and will also feature Jeong Ji Hoon, who portrays international detective ¡®Ji Woo¡¯, a master of martial arts, languages and knowledge, showcasing his natural charisma through action scenes and also a comical side that is unexpected.

During the press conference, Jeong Ji Hoon said ¡°¡¯Ji Woo¡¯ is a character that has not been seen in dramas and movies before. We focused on that aspect when meeting with the writers¡±.

He added ¡°Action scenes were no problem since I only did action scenes for a year while filming in the US,¡± adding that ¡°The director¡¯s orders kept getting bigger. Recently, Lee Jeong Jin had to jump over a 3M wall.

Also, Lee Na Young commented on her foray into action saying ¡°I wanted to do action for a while and I really liked the character so I worked really hard on it,¡± adding that ¡°I didn¡¯t get hurt during filming, but a lot of my fellow actors hard difficulties because I was not used to doing action.¡±

Following Chuno, the action packed chases of The Fugitive will air to viewers beginning on the 29th at 9:55 pm.

Another point of focus is whether The Fugitive can continue the string of success of Wed/Thu dramas on KBS 2TV, following Cinderella¡¯s Sister and Baker King Kim Tak Gu.
