Seoul, Korea – It seems that movies starring two prominent Korean male leads, Jang Dong Gun and Jung Woo Sung, will face off on October in Pusan.

The Warrior’s Way, Jang Dong Gun’s first Hollywood film, and Reign of Assassins, the international film starring Jung Woo Sung, will be showcased at the 15th Pusan International Film Festival.

Reign of Assassins, directed by legendary Hong Kong director John Woo, will be showcased in the ‘Window on Asian Cinema’ section, and while The Warrior’s Way will not be showcased during the festival, an official press conference will held on October 9th, the same time as the festival, to reveal the contents that have been hidden up to now.

In accordance, a representative for the movie’s national distributor says “A press conference for The Warrior’s Way will be held October 9, at 4pm at the Busan Grand Hotel where producer Barry Osborne (Lord of the Rings, The Matrix) will tell of the story of the movie.”


The Warriors Way, an action blockbuster teamwork between Korean production and Hollywood technology, tells the story of the actions of the greatest warrior from the east crossing over the Pacific and into a small, isolated Western town and the events that take place after. Aside from Jang Dong Gun, it also stars Hollywood heavyweights such as Kate Bosworth and Geoffrey Rush.

Reign of Assassins, also an action blockbuster, is a project created by John Woo and longtime partner Terence Chang. It is said that John Woo cast Jung Woo Sung as the lead character after watching his roles in action movies such as The Warrior and Good Guy, Bad Guy and Weird Guy. It was also invited to the 67th Venice International Film Festival.

The 15th annual Pusan International Film Festival takes place from October 7 to the 15th at Haeundae and Nampo-dong in Pusan.
