The idol group, 2PM, is planning to make a debut in Japan following Dong Bang Shin Gi and Big Bang.

2PM is scheduled to make an official debut along with its album release in the coming December with Sony Music Entertainment.

JYP Entertainment, 2PM’s agency, claimed that 2PM will make a debut in the major music market in Japan through Sony Music. They also added that the major record labels of Sony Music, Ariola and Epic Records, will take part in both management and album recording which is an unprecedented case.

On November 24, 2PM will release its first DVD in Japan named ‘Hottest: 2PM 1st Music Video Collection & the History.’ Then on December 8, they will hold a showcase entitled ‘2PM 1st Contact in Japan’ as well as release their official debut album ‘1:59 PM.’

According to JYP Entertainment, the Japan’s major music companies in Japan have been competing for 2PM’s debut in Japan. JYP Entertainment also revealed that the preparations needed to set up JYP Japan for the debut and other business affairs of 2PM as well as other affiliated singers were done.
