Seoul, Korea – The ‘2010 Korea Chrysanthemum Exhibition’ will open from October 29 until November 14th at Hampyeong in Jeollanam-do with a theme of ‘Late autumn’s heart fragrance and uprightness’.

This event provides visitors with the ambiance of late autumn by developing and showcasing new works and breeds.

The exhibition consists of Hampyeong’s 159m2 100 million chrysanthemum field, and the festival area is filled with works and projects of chrysanthemums that will grab the attention and interests of visitors.

The flower sculpture of national treasure no.1 Namdaemun installed at the entrance of the event area will catch the eyes of visitors, along with a large bull sculpture, a large wooden cliff flower tower and chrysanthemum bed, grass fields and the past the magic tower in the center of the event area will lead visitors to the garden of Eden, leading visitors to a fantasy world of chrysanthemum.

Among hands on events, there are chestnut gathering, sweet potato grilling, traditional games, chrysanthemum related hands on experience, using sorghum stalks, creating workpieces, kite making and flying events.

Aside from this, there are many food stalls, Hampyeong produce markets, Hampyeong hanwoo (local cattle) marketing, and markets for local produce along with a tour train shaped like a butterfly.
