On the 4th, Kangta’s management, SM Entertainment remarked “Kangta was selected as the only foreign artist to be a torch bearer for the ‘2010 Guangzhou Asian Games’” adding “He will participate in the torch bearing on the 11th near Guangzhou University”.

The torch bearing for the ‘Guangzhou Asian Games’, which begin on the 12th, began on October 9 starting in Beijing, and 2,010 runners will be participating.

On the 11th Kangta will participate in the event along with other Chinese Stars such as Tan Yong Lin, Lang Lang, and Chia Ju Oh Yen.

The Organizational Committee of the Guangzhou Asian games remarked “We selected Kangta as a runner for the torch not only for his attitude of public service but also for his acceptance in the Asian community and because he does have international influence”.

Meanwhile, in accordance with his participation in the torch bearing for the ‘2010 Guangzhou Asian Games’, he will also be releasing a stamp collection marked ‘I am a torch bearer’.
