Portrays department store owner ‘Ju Won’ in SBS’s new weekend drama Secret Garden

On the 10th, during the press conference for Secret Garden at the SBS studios in Mokdong, Hyun Bin remarked “I’ve done a lot of heavy roles lately, and after My name is Kim Sam Soon, I’m returning to romantic comedies”, adding “I hope that viewers are comfortable during the time that the show airs”.

He added “While it would be nice to have a high rating, it does not concern me much. If it is a drama that people can watch comfortably, I think a lot of people would watch it”.

Secret Garden tells the fantasy melodrama story of a millionaire department store owner and a stuntwoman dreaming of being a stunt director, who quarrel without realizing their true feelings about each other and end up with their souls being exchanged for one another.

In this project, Hyun Bin portrays the cocky department store owner ‘Ju Won’ and stars alongside Ha Ji Won, who portrays stuntwoman ‘Lime’.


A point of interest is the fact that this is Hyun Bin’s last project before entering the army.

Regarding this, Hyun Bin remarked “I’m thinking about entering the army at the beginning of next year and this project is my last one before that”, adding “Thinking about leaving for a while makes me want to work harder, and I think that having to play two characters is a great challenge. We hope that people will watch”.

Secret Garden is another joint project by writer Kim Eun Sook and director Shin Woo Chul, who together have made On Air, Lady of Paris, and Lady of Prague, and stars Hyun Bin, Ha Ji Won, Yun Sang Hyun and Kim Sa Rang.

Secret Garden, Hyun Bin’s final project before entering military service and Ha Ji Won’s return to TV after 4 years, is set to air on the 13th at 9:50 pm as the successor to Life is Beautiful.
