Seoul, Korea – A contestant on MBC’s entertainment program Star Audition- Birth of a Great Star has debuted as a singer.

Chosen by ChoPD, the contestant joined the rookie group “Block B,” but received a serious knee injury while practicing and made it unclear whether he could make a debut; however, now his debut has been confirmed.

Block B’s choreographer, Go Yoon Young, who is currently overseas because of a JYJ world tour, said, “It was almost overworking himself to recover in time to help with the filming of the group’s music video, but he showed strong will and was able to overcome his difficulty.”

The respective contestant was eliminated during the “Great Camp” in which mentors were picked out, but he participated in an audition held by ChoPD and won a prize.

At the audition, he received the assessment that he will be best voice for the group’s title track by not only ChoPD but also by Block B’s members and the group’s producer, Assbrass, and was immediately recruited to the recording work.

Producer ChoPD of Block B, a group in which an unparalleled amount of money and time was invested, said, “I was looking over the making of the music video and jacket filming with a praying heart. Everything was back in place, so I was happy.”

Block B will debut on April 14.
