The Painter of the Wind wins a special award at a TV festival in Shanghai


Seoul, Korea – The series The Painter of the Wind has won a special award at a TV festival in Shanghai.

SBS announced on the 15th, ¡°The Painter of Wind (produced by Jang Tae Yoo) was given the Asian TV Series Special Award at the 16th TV Festival in Shanghai.¡±

The Painter of the Wind aired in 2008. It was the life story of the talented painter Shin Yeun Bok, who disguised herself as a boy, and included as a main character the renowned genre painter Kim Hong Do.

The Shanghai TV Festival is one of the Asia¡¯s most important TV-industry events. It features TV programs, films, and the TV market. It also holds TV forums and an equipment exhibition.

On 11th at the awards ceremony, Secretary-General Lee Chung Oak accepted the award for producer Jang Tae Yoo.

The Painter of the Wind also received a Silver Remi at the 43th Houston International Film Festival in April thanks to Moon Geun Young and Park Shin Yang¡¯s excellent acting and beautiful image.
