Cooperative campaign to revitalize domestic tours
Seoul, Korea – The Korea Tourism Organization will continue its joint campaign with 11 related organizations to revitalize tours within Korea this summer.
With themes centered around the idea of green tourism and returning to nature, tour items include car-camping, ecotourism in national parks, agri/aquacultural experience trips, various forest and outdoor programs, eco-tours of salt flats, and eco-friendly train trips.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) will open ¡°2010 Car-Camping for Beginners¡± and the ¡°Green-Camping Relay¡± as part of the 2010 Summer Joint Campaign. San Hwan Kim, author of 302 Camping Grounds of Korea and The Car-Camping Bible will be leading the camping classes from July to November on the fourth Saturday of each month.
The Green Camping Relay begins with the Ulleung-do and Dok-do (Liancourt Rocks) camping on July 16 to 18 and continues biweekly until October, visiting such campsites as Seorak-dong Campsite, Pyeongchang Pine Island (Solseom), Mt. Huiri Natural Forest, Hongcheon Saldun Village, Gongju Ian Tree Park Campsite, and Chuncheon Jungdo Campsite.
