Seoul, Korea – Hong Kong action star Jet Li has come into the spotlight recently for his luxurious house in Shanghai.

Jet Li invested in 5,369.87 square meters of land, costing 200 million yuan (about 34.6 billion Korean won), on which stand a villa composed of three separate buildings. The land was purchased by Li’s wife Liz 10 years ago, and since then, its value has multiplied by 100.

The villa complex, which took six years to complete, is similar to that of a mid-size shopping complex with an exterior of classic European design. The street lamps and glass ceilings of European renaissance style are attractive. The landscaping includes trees and other large plant to block noise from the adjacent highway and to keep out peering eyes.

Jet Li plans to give two of the houses to his two daughters when they get married. Currently they reside in Singapore for their education.
